It’s that time of year and I know you are looking for some fun Thanksgiving-themed things craft and create with your child. Here are some easy crafts that you can do using one easy template.


I love all of these crafts because they do a great job of helping you teach your child about gratitude and thankfulness.

 Paper Bag Turkey

Materials Needed:

  • Paper Bag
  • Feather Template Cut Out in Various Colors
  • Yellow, Orange, and Brown Paint
  • Orange Construction Paper Pre Cut in Beak Shape
  • Black and White Circles for Eyes
  • Pen or Marker


  1. Finger paint the paper bag to decorate your turkey
  2. Add the Beak at the fold of the bag
  3. Add Eyes
  4. Write things your child is grateful for on the feather and attach to the back of the bag.
  5. Take turns having fun conversations with your new puppet friend!

How to Send Happiness During a Pandemic

We are all looking for more ways to connect right now and sending happy mail is a great way to show someone that you care!

For a long time, I was intimidated by sending mail. I thought that I wouldn't be able to figure it out that my packages would end up being sent back to me.

So I gave up before I started. 

Once I started selling some of my artwork I learned how easy it is to send happy mail. Now with The Create Kit, I get to send fun packages every month.

I get a lot of questions on how I figure out shipping every month and it couldn't be easier!

I hope this inspires you to put together a little care package and send something thoughtful to a friend.

How to Teach Numbers and Counting at Home

If you are looking for a fun way to incorporate learning through play then you have to watch my video where I share how you can teach counting and number recognition all at once.

Even better is that it's an activity that you can visit again and again. The only supplies you need are the free printable I have provided here and some circle stickers and washi tape.
Hang numbers on the wall with washi tape (I like to use that so the paint doesn't peel from the wall, please test a small part of your wall first).
Write out numbers on stickers.
Have your child match the numbers on the stickers to the number on the paper.
